Yesterday, we told you about a SPHINC meeting where we learned about two duplexes planned for the corner of 20th & Wharton. Also at that meeting, the same architect presented plans for another development in Point Breeze, this time a single-family home at 1902 Alter Street.

Currently vacant lot

The lot that’s pictured above is actually 1902 and 1904 Alter, and the house will rise on the lot on the left. Here’s a look at the rest of the block:

New homes in the distance

You may recall, we told you about five new construction homes going up on this street, two of which are now nearly complete. Two more have been framed, and the last one should soon go up as well. All five homes are currently under contract for over $300K.

Meanwhile, the new home will have a slightly more contemporary look:

Floor plans

The three bedroom, two and a half bedroom house will hopefully break ground soon, with plans to offer it for sale. It’s still pretty impressive that developers are doing so much work on this block, considering the less-than-ideal views of the backs of warehouses across the street. This really speaks to just how much demand there is for new construction in this neighborhood, as well as the rather low supply of available, ready to develop lots. Hopefully, the vacant lot next door to this soon-to-be-developed home will be built sometime soon as well.
