Stupid Easy is a brand new fine art and photography studio located at 307 Market Street right above an artists’ dream, Artist & Craftsman Supply. In fact, photographer and Stupid Easy owner Dan King, a recent graduate of Drexel University, found out about the space after a trip to the supply shop. Interestingly enough, the space had quite a few inquiries for salons or boutiques, but the landlord turned them all down; he had been looking for someone to keep the space inspirational and creative. It was then that King presented the Stupid Easy proposal to the owner. “We love the renowned art scene geographically embedded in Old City,” says King. “This is not a traditional commercial space but rather an inspirational and raw space.” Stupid Easy hosts art gallery events with freelance artists such as NoseGo even though the gallery “produces more than they show,” according to King. King hopes to become a relevant vein in the art community, continue to have successful shows and produce new and innovative media in the neighborhood that is home to more and more creative groups. —-Kimberly Anderson
