We came across this 1952 home in the “woodlands” of East Falls on more than an acre of land. Who knew!? Unfortunately it is occupied, so we used our internet sleuth skills to get more info on the home, in a way that wouldn’t land us in jail for B&E. The three-bedroom two-bath ranch home is 2500 square feet and has floor-to-ceiling windows, birch wood floors, a fireplace, views of the lands’ gardens and trees from every window, a pond and a waterfall on the grounds, four outside decks and patios, a custom master bath with heated marble floor, Grohe faucets and, of course, the staple kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Paul Messing and Bette Begleiter are the lucky owners of the property at 4113-17 Apalogen Road, acquiring the house a few years ago for $70k less than the $849K asking price. Love to see mid-century design like this in Philadelphia, and hope Dwell pics up more of our great finds.
