According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, the former Please Touch Museum site at 21st and Race Sts. was purchased last week by Isen Trust. According to the brief article, the buyer’s plan is to turn the enormous building into an art gallery and store.

Soon, a gallery

According to a source at Binswanger, the company that listed the property and brokered the sale, the unattractive corner parcel is probably not going to be incorporated into the gallery or store space, but is more likely to be flipped to a developer for the construction of single family homes. Covering over 10K sqft, the corner parcel could accommodate at least ten new homes, which would represent a significant residential development in this neck of the woods. Hmmm, wonder where they got the idea?

Might be demolished

We’ll keep an eye on this one, and will hopefully have confirmation and additional details in the near future.
