Early last week Foobooz asked us what this apparatus was on the corner of Carpenter and 23rd Streets. We foxes are classically trained in spy work, so it was no problem to make our way to the roof for this photo (please don’t ask how) and question the right neighbors. Turns out the man who lives in this house is a huge fan of citizen’s band radio. No, he is not a trucker, he just like’s to talk to them, according to the heater technician we caught walking out of the house in question. We imagine the man behind this structure (which is surely reaching radio waves of great distances) looks something like Woody Harrelson’s character, Charlie Frost, in 2012. —Caitlin Connors
