Do you enjoy beer? How bout music?  Do you want to invest in your community? If you answered ‘yes’ to those questions, then Bloktoberfest is just what the doctor ordered.

From 2009

In its previous two incarnations, Bloktoberfest took place in cramped quarters, on the 2000 block of Christian St., but this year, the party is movin’ on up to South Street. Despite shifting a bit to the north, the spirit of the event remains the same: celebrating community, enjoying craft beers, listening to live music, and supporting the local arts scene while giving to a great cause. Mark your calendars for Saturday October 15th, 12PM – 8PM, and get yourself to the 14001700 blocks of South Street. The festival is free to attend, and proceeds from beers sales are donated to a variety of education initiatives benefiting Philadelphia youth.
