Months ago, we first told you about Norris Point, a ten-home development at the corner of Norris St. & Trenton Ave. that had just gotten underway. This large-scale development with contemporary design elements reminded us of The Nine, a recently constructed development nearby. And like The Nine, this development is also going up in phases, with the first phase of four homes finished or near completion.

According to listing agent Chris Somers, two of the units, priced in the mid to high $300K range, are sold, and a third will be settled this week. The fourth home, which is nearly complete, is still available for sale. This week, in fact, ground was broken on the second phase of Norris Point, which will include four additional homes that we imagine will also sell rather quickly, even at a slightly higher price point.

Meanwhile, across the street, a single family home is getting in on the fun on the block. When we were in the area a week and a half ago, 2158 E. Norris St. had been framed out, and looked like it was getting ready for facade work sooner rather than later. This home, built by BMK Properties and designed by KJO Architecture, is available for under $350K. When it’s done, it will have 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and over 2,000 sqft of living space.

It’s great to see all this infill construction taking place in this part of the neighborhood which has already seen a ton of new construction. With the addition of six more homes at Norris Point, a whole new little community will have sprung up at this corner in a matter of a little more than a year.
