We keep telling you about all the good stuff coming to Frankford Avenue. But we don’t want you to think that we’re just giving news about projects that get proposed but never built, ya know? So here are a couple of updates on some major new projects coming to this burgeoning corridor:

First, we revisit 1850 Frankford Ave., an address we last examined way back in January. At that time, we told you that this 15,000 sqft lot which stretches back to Blair Street would soon see seven new homes on Blair and a collection of mixed-use buildings on Frankford.

Well, we’re pleased to say that fences went up in the last few weeks and that this project will soon be moving forward. Look for the homes on Blair to go up first, followed by the buildings on Frankford.

Just a short jaunt away, there’s even more to say about 2032-34 Frankford Ave., which will soon be home to two homes on Blair Street and a single mixed-use building on Frankford Avenue. This is a Postgreen project- the homes on Blair are called Pop!, and the building on Frankford is called Frank 2.

Like the project down the street, this one is also starting with the Blair Street homes, which will be followed by Frank 2. As you can see, the homes were well on their way to being framed when we were in the area last week.

Just makes us wonder what will be the next big thing to come to Frankford Avenue. Heaven knows, there’s still enough vacant land for several developers to leave their mark.
