We were in Fishtown the other day researching a stillborn neighborhood casino, and spotted some construction going on a few doors down from the New Kensington CDC office.
Yup, it’s the friendliest construction site in Philadelphia, at 2519 Frankford Ave.! The building, which we believe once contained a window glass store, is apparently on its way to becoming a restaurant. That’s all we know at this point, but perhaps neighbors know more?
While we were checking out the construction, we were diggin’ on the building next door, which has some really nice stone detail work. Not something you necessarily expect on Frankford Ave.
Can anyone shed any light on either the upcoming restaurant on the nautical-themed building next door?
