A reader shot us an email last week, wondering about 431 E Girard Ave., a commercial space a few doors down from a branch of Bank of America that at least one neighbor could do without.

According to this individual, he’s passed by a couple of times in recent weeks and noticed a new stone counter in the rear of the space along with a soda fountain. Does anyone in the neighborhood have any idea what’s going on in there? New pizza place? New sandwich shop? Falafel?
