A tipster just clued us in that Tower Investments is sending out this mass text to all their tenants: “Arrow Swim Club is open to residents during the week until June 15.” (Excessive exclamation points not included). If every Tower residents with an ID can swim in the “members-only” pool, does this mean Arrow is struggling with meeting its membership goal of 1000 members? Naked readers who have been to the club tell us it is looking great, but very disorganized management-wise. It’s a shame if it is the case that they need more members; as much as there is a debate over this project, we fully support such an innovative use of property (empty lots are usually transformed into more homes, another restaurant/bar, or retail space) in a neighborhood that has the space and support for experimental projects like this. Is anyone familiar with Teddy Roosevelt’s “The Man In The Arena”? It’s not the critic who counts; the credit belongs to the man in the arena. Or, in this case, the pool. —-Caitlin Connors
