On Friday, the much anticipated wet dream of Piazza developer Bart Blatstein and PR guru Nicole Cashman that is the Arrow Swim Club will have it’s grand opening, and just in time: it seems a few “look, they’re almost finished!” photos have popped up on Flickr. (We reported on Arrow back in February when we were just a baby fox.) Meanwhile, many Northern Liberties’ residences are still rolling their eyes at the idea of an exclusive $1K per season (and a 4-month season at that!) swim club that requires a credit check before you walk in the door.  Nevertheless, all biases aside, reading people’s reactions on Twitter and Facebook seems to reveal that many people think this is actually a pretty decent deal for a swim club, even offering up the comparison that a trip down the shore could easily cost you more money then Arrow Swim Club’s season pass and only see you in the water for a week or so at most! Not to mention all the amenities the club offers: towel service, shaded hammocks and Balinese lounge chairs (whatever those are). Grub Street even just posted the poolside food and drinks Arrow plans to offer, which include Hebrew National jumbo beef hot dogs, grilled cheese and Ahi Tuna burgers. —-Conrad Benner
