Yesterday, we told you about the South Street Spring Festival, which will surely mean thousands of people packing ten solid blocks of South Street east of Broad. If you’re interested, however, in a much more local but still awesome outdoor event today, might we suggest checking out Plazapalooza at 23rd & South?

This event will feature beer from Grace Tavern, offerings from several food trucks, tasty yogurt from the excellent Igloo, kids games, live music, and and the Fleisher Color Wheels. Along with celebrating a funky public space created by the intersection of 23rd Street, South Street, and Grays Ferry Avenue, Plazapalooza will also raise money for the recently reopened but still not quite complete Julian Abele Park at 22nd & Carpenter.

Plazapalooza!
