Last month, we told you about a collection of projects on or around Grays Ferry Avenue. Included in that group was a five-unit development on the 2500 block of Carpenter Street that was, at that time, a new foundation. Passing by today, we saw it's been framed out.

Moving along

Three doors down from this project, at 2546 Grays Ferry Ave., we spotted the facade has come down. In between the two properties is an attractive home with a shape you rarely see in this town, and another newer home that's got a much more standard look.

Facade is gone

This property had been owned by Metro Impact, a company that's done a ton of work in this vicinity in recent years. About a year ago, they sold the building to Linar Investment LLC. According to the L&I Map, the renovated building will include two apartment units which we're guessing will be condos. Once this project is finished, the entire block will have newer structures with one exception:

Last old home on the block

And looking at the sign posted on 2536 Grays Ferry Ave., it looks like this property should be the next and final project on the agenda for this side of the block.
