Over a year ago, we could swear that we attended a Francisville community meeting where a project was presented for the vacant southwest corner of 15th & Ogden. If that did, in fact, occur, then it seems that plans have changed for this spot, as a reader just tipped us off that two zoning notices have appeared here, apparently with plans to build two single family homes.

The lots

Both homes are listed at $325K pre-construction, and both appear to be under contract already (nice work there, guys). The homes will each be about 2,200 sqft, and will have 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, stainless appliances, roof decks etc. Based on the photo used in the listing, we’re guessing these homes will have a more traditional look than the contemporary homes immediately to the south. Let’s just hope the corner doesn’t feature the same amount of street-facing stucco as the home pictured below.

We'd guess it's another home built by the same developer. Image from Trend.

The homes to the south have some interesting design elements

Architecture notwithstanding, it’s wonderful to see vacant Francisville lots continue to get filled in. Hopefully, this development and others like it will spur construction on the 1400 block of Ogden, which features over a dozen vacant lots, and the 1600 block, which has even more. But if we had to speculate, we’d say it’s only a matter of time for both.
