Back around Thanksgiving, we gave you the lowdown on the upcoming renovation of the gorgeous 26th Precinct Police Station. A bank and nine apartments are on tap for this Victorian beaut. Located at the corner of Trenton Ave. and E. Dauphin St., the building is quite striking, even though it’s been vacant since the 1970’s.

A few months ago

Work has apparently been ongoing for a little while now. The cinder blocks filling the window spaces on the upper floors have been removed, and some framing appears to have taken place inside.

There were several workers on the site when we stopped by the other day, though none were in a conversational mood. Nevertheless, it’s great to see progress here and we look forward to the day that this classic building looks like this:
