Recently, we’ve been trying to drive home the point that Frankford Avenue is experiencing a resurgence, but still has an uncomfortable number of large vacant lots holding it back some. But as we told you last week, some of the larger lots are beginning to get filled in, like the parcel pictured below on the 1800 block.

Lot that will soon be replaced by...

...this new building

And now we’re hearing that Postgreen is looking to get in on the fun. They’re currently working on a couple of projects on Frankford, and today we’ll shed a little light on an upcoming project at 2032-34 Frankford Ave. which has already received approval from the ZBA.

Another lot that's on the outs. Well, half of it.

According to Chad Ludeman of Postgreen, the plan for this site is a commercial space on the first floor, with four apartments above. And because the lots run 120′ deep, they’ll be chopping off the rear of the two lots and constructing two single family homes that front Blair Street, not unlike the larger project we previously discussed on the 1800 block. Orange Concepts is doing the design work.

An older rendering

This rendering was put up on the Postgreen site back in December, and we’re guessing the design has changed slightly since then. Once we get some fresh images and perhaps some floor plans, we’ll revisit this project so y’all know just what to expect. And in the meantime, we’ll try to get some more info on FRANK, that other Postgreen project coming soon to Frankford Avenue.
