The other day, we told you about a new home that’s currently under construction on Norris St. by developers BMK Properties. Today, we can tell you about two other homes nearby that this developer is working on at the moment.

These two right here

The home on the corner, 2216 E. Thompson St., is clearly a new construction home. When finished, it will have 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and 2,200 sqft of living space. It’s listed for under $350K. Like the other BMK home we told you about, this property is also designed by KJO Architects, a firm that’s doing plenty of work in the area. Check out this rendering and these floor plans for a better idea of what the property will eventually look like, inside and out.

If you look at the rendering, you’ll notice that 2214 E. Thompson St., the two story home next door, has vinyl covering its cornice, which is exposed in the current photo above. That’s because BMK is also renovating this home, which will eventually have two bedrooms and one bathroom, along with a newly finished basement and all the other features we’ve come to expect in professional rehab jobs. The home will be available for just under $200K, which seems like a very reasonable price to live in a newly rehabbed home in an up-and-coming area.

Now, if only BMK would intervene at another property at this intersection, a building that looks to have been recently remodeled but possesses a lackluster color choice for stucco.

Not ideal. But not terrible either. Gotta figure the building gets a ton of natural light.
