In the spring, we brought a renovation to your attention at the corner of 45th & Pine. We had snapped some very early photos of construction at the Sedgley building, which looks like it would fit in better on the English countryside than on a corner in West Philly. Vacant for at least a couple of years, the building was apparently in rough shape inside and needed some love.
As you can see, a bunch of new windows have gone in and the old bays have been stripped down. We also saw interior work taking place when we passed by. The project is surely a few months away from completion- we just hope they are willing/able to restore the bays to their original look. Would be a crying shame to see stucco here for the next thirty years.
