According to Grub Street, Ramen Bar officially opened for business two weeks ago. Located at 4040 Locust St. in University City, the new restaurant provides locals and Penn students with yet another dining option—this time in the form of delicious noodles.
For the past few years, Locust Moon Comics called this space home. The comic store, however, recently moved to a large space at 40th & Chestnut, paving the way for the new restaurant. Ramen Bar is still in the midst of putting the final touches on their space, and is in the process of gaining its liquor license to serve beer, liquor, and tasty tasty sake.
We told you last month about the impending arrival of First Round Capital to the same building, in a space that was most recently a bowling alley bar. After an opening reception last week, it seems that Ramen Boy should already have a built-in lunch crowd working right next door. Not too shabby.

In the past. Ramen Bar is in the space on the far right, First Round Capital entrance is in the middle.
We’ll be sure to check out the new restaurant sometime soon, maybe in a couple weeks once that liquor license is in place. Mmm… sake…
