It's been a long road for Renewbold, but it seems that the journey is finally approaching its end. It was all the way back in February of 2011 that we first told you about this project from LPMG, the guys behind American Sardine Bar and South Philly Tap Room. About a year later, the project, with sixteen homes, two condos and a retail space at 16th & Moore got approval from the ZBA. In October of 2013, the first phase of the project broke ground, with 6 two-story homes and 2 three-story homes fronting Bancroft Street. Those homes now appear to be finished and are sold out. Take a look-see.

Within the last few days, the second phase of the project has officially gotten in the ground. This phase will mean seven 3-story homes and a corner building with two condos and a retail space. The 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom homes come with a parking spot and start at $365K. Considering the amenities and the location, that's a pretty attractive price point. And at least one person agrees- one of the units is already under agreement, pre-construction.

Phase Two is coming

In the future

No idea what's in store for the corner space, but we'd wager it will be something super cool, filling a need for the neighborhood. Perhaps a third bar to add to the empire? Or something else? What would people like to see here?
