At the time our client purchased 1613 Kater Street, it was a parking space that butted up against the rear of a commercial building on South Street West.  Since the commercial tenant had no need for parking, we saw an opportunity to remove a vacant lot from the area and create value for the owner.   We presented a single-family row home to the South of South Neighbor Association (SOSNA).  After their review of the project, they requested that we make several revisions.  These included lowering the total of height of the building, eliminating the pilot house, and setting back the roof deck.

With those revisions, we gained the support of SOSNA and ultimately approval from the ZBA. 1613 Kater Street proved to be such a success that we'll be building its clone next door in the very near future.
